Salt water Taffy

Preppy Classic Charm Necklace with Saltwater Taffy Wellesley Row

All we need for a sweet holiday weekend - sunnies, salt water taffy, and Legacy Silhouette charms! We love a good pair of sunglasses and these ones from Laundy by Shelli Segal are such a fun coral color, aren't they?

We're also craving the traditional boardwalk confection, salt water taffy! This yummy treat was first sold on the Atlantic City boardwalk back in the 1880's. Apparently Fralinger's was the original. I like the artwork on the original 1920's box that they still sell today. Try it for a taste of history! We're also inspired by the flavors at Taffy Shop. They have truly gone gourmet with Red Velvet Cake, Chicken and Waffles, Maple Bacon, and Chile Mango taffy!

Being sunny and seaside made us go a bit nautical on the styling of our Legacy Silhouette charms too. Our Winchester Crab charm, Chatham Anchor charm and Naples Seahorse charm are a fun trio. Quick sail, anyone?

When it comes to jewelry, your choices in metals can sometimes feel a bit restrictive.  The majority of pieces are either yellow gold, or a grey metal such as silver, platinum, or white gold.  There aren't many other options, especially when copper tarnishes so easily and can stain the skin.
